New Balance presents its 550 in “Desert”

New Balance continues to keep its audience engaged. The shoe specialist has had a solid few months with consistent releases of its popular 2002r, 990v3, and 9060 silhouettes, but now NB is delivering the latest iteration of its 550 design. Hot on the heels of its previous “Marquette” release, New Balance presents now the shoe in a “Desert” colourway as it looks to add a touch of warmth to the sleek design for Fall/Winter 2022.
New Balance’s 550 was originally designed in 1989 by Steven Smith, but the design only gained popularity in 2020. However, this “Desert” version of the shoe resembles its Designed by Aimé Léon Doré with a soft leather construction and a canvas upper. Beige tones – reminiscent of colors seen across the Sahara Desert – cover the upper, while splashes of brown can be spotted on the heel. The usual “N” and “550” markings are also included on the side quarter panel and on the spine of the shoe. To complete the design, stability clips are included on the outsole, complete with a soft white hue for added effect.
